Recently I made this really cool classic Bowie with my own spin on it.
Made at the request of a friend in Norway who was looking for a good tool for his hunting and camping trips.
I put my own spin on it by using a frame handle made of ironwood and G10. And I also added some nice little details. This is my first time making a Bowie in this style and quality, so there were many learning moments. Lots of firsts with the construction, finish and leatherwork. It has a “museum fit,” with all the corners broken off. Including the frame itself. Hand punched pins and lots of internal hidden pins.
The sheath has a thick belt loop and a detachable shoulder strap. And as extras, a custom firesteel with an ironwood handle and a pouch with sharpening stone.
